Steel Roofs
We provide a large range of different stages and roofs to suit all staging requirements.
Due to increasing demand from our customers, we decided to boost our portfolio by building a new steel roof in 2009. Using a similar truss structure and sheets as our standard orbits, it offers a number of benefits to those many offered by the orbit. Manufactured and designed from scratch at our premises allowed us to develop the roof to meet our customer's needs and to ensure that it complied with current health and safety regulations.
The new roof offers a greater weight capacity and is taller meaning that it is a lot easier to hang video screens and lighting. It is also possible to hang from the top purlins, not currently available on the orbit.
The flat back wall on the roof offers a larger usable stage area, which we have found a key requirement for our customers. The roof is available in 4.8m bays and either 15.6m or 19.2m wide. The roof also comes with purpose built monitor wings and an in-built VIP platform to ensure that all your demands are met.
We have now reworked our 19.2m steel orbits so that they can now hang more weight (up to 4000kg per arch on single arches and 6000kg on double arches); and also produced a 16.8m wide one as a slightly larger alternative to the 15.6m. This is of a similar design to our aluminium orbits, but allows for a flat back wall, additional clearance and the ability to hang a greater weight from any part of the arch.
We are now also able to offer a wider span, following a request from one of our new clients. By manufacturing components compatible with our current system, we can now provide a roof 25m wide. This is available in 4.8m bays and can carry up to 5000kg per arch.
